Paradise Fears

Painted as a commission for the group Paradise Fears. This is featured on their newest album, Antebellum (releasing this summer). My Process: I started in Corel Painter 12, building up the sky and ocean. I then blocked in the ships and sculpted the foreground landscape. The girl was sketched on paper and scanned as an outline into painter. Detail work was finished in Painter, and then I exported a PSD with around 60-70 layers into Photoshop, where I added all the atmosphere effects and tonal controls (photoshop is much more effecient and more powerful at those adjustments). Final print and web versions were exported from Photoshop. My Tools: Pencil, Paper, Wacom Bamboo tablet, MacBook Pro Retina Display.
